The Lewis County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan, is a countywide plan that identifies risks and ways to minimize damage by natural and manmade disasters. The plan is a comprehensive resource document that serves many purposes such as enhancing public awareness, creating a decision tool for management, promoting compliance with Washington State and Federal program requirements, enhancing local policies for hazard mitigation capability, and providing inter-jurisdictional coordination.

This website serves as a location to share with the public the progress made with this plan update. There are provided links on this page that are associated with the creation of this plan. We also have included meeting schedules and events, as well as any associated documents.

Hazard Mitigation Update Public Meeting Notification

Please join us for a Public Meeting scheduled on March 13th following the Lewis County Directors meeting at the Historic Courthouse hearing room, scheduled for 9:00 am. At this time we will discuss the Lewis County Hazard Mitigation Plan, the process over the past several years, and address any questions people may have.
